Best Restaurant in Zadar: Why We Choose Konoba Malo Misto

Published October 10, 2026

Guests on our boat trips ask us every day where to eat in Zadar. After 15 years of showing visitors around, our answer is always the same: Konoba Malo Misto, a family restaurant in the Old Town that has been cooking Dalmatian food since 1970.

Why Malo Misto is our choice

Authentic Dalmatian dishes

Pašticada, gregada, black risotto and buzara, cooked from family recipes passed down through generations – with a modern touch.

Homemade

Pasta, gnocchi and flatbread are made in-house.

Fresh, local food

Fish, seafood, meat and cheese from local suppliers, cooked fresh – much of it on the charcoal grill.

Family tradition since 1970

A family-run konoba in the heart of the Old Town, with a terrace in a stone courtyard.
